Job Title: Front Desk Patient Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Front Desk Patient Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a positive experience for all patients. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist patients as they arrive at the facility
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring efficient use of time
• Manage patient records and maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, appointments, and insurance
• Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and communication
• Process patient registrations and verify insurance information
• Handle billing inquiries and assist with payment processing
• Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
• Some travel will be required - 1 day per week travel is required to our Orangeburg clinic

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm - hours may vary depending on department needs

Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus
• Experience as a Medical Assistant preferred, but not required 
• Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and office software
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Compassionate and patient-focused attitude
