Overview CAES - Mission Systems is a leading supplier of integrated RF solutions and high power, solid state broadband transmitters for EW and Radar applications. We also design and manufacture antennas and precision positioners for standalone aperture, positioner requirements, and integrated sensor systems across various high-performance applications. Due to exciting growth, our Woburn MA location is recruiting a Senior Test Engineer to design, develop, and implement test software and techniques to support integration, qualification, and acceptance testing of electronic assemblies, subassemblies, and systems. Our engineering team comprises 100+ professionals including systems, software, RF, power amplifier, antenna, mechanical, reliability, test engineers, and others. Reporting to the Test Engineering Manager, our ideal candidate has a strong engineering and programming background in testing, supporting a diverse product portfolio through all product lifecycle stages. Proven ability to work across functions in a matrix organization is essential. Responsibilities Provide test software engineering expertise and support, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Design, develop, and implement robust test software solutions for complex RF systems. Implement hardware/software protocols and engineering tools for new product development. Develop application test software for multi-board/processor systems with FPGAs and CPUs. Design communication interfaces between equipment and users. Develop new techniques, plans, and procedures as needed. Perform technical assignments requiring minimal supervision. Engage directly with customers to ensure design compliance and support. Support testing beyond normal processes, creating test setups and procedures. Qualifications Minimum: BSc in Engineering or equivalent experience. Experience testing RF components such as switches, amplifiers, converters. Experience with RF test equipment like Signal Generators, Network Analyzers, Power meters. Familiarity with RF signals in microwave and millimeter wave domains. 3+ years experience with LabView. 8+ years experience as a Test Engineer with detailed test strategy development. 2+ years developing automated test scripts/programs. Eligibility to access controlled technology per US export laws and ability to obtain security clearance. Preferred: 10+ years developing automated test scripts. Experience with Microsoft .NET environment (C++, C#, VB). Knowledge of configuration management tools (SVN, GIT, ClearCase). Proficiency in automating acceptance tests using VB.NET. Experience with hardware/software driver development. Knowledge of common HW interfaces/data protocols (TCPIP, UDP, RS-422, USB, PCI, CAN). Strong debugging and software integrity skills. Understanding of HW/SW optimization techniques. Familiarity with test automation devices and DoD security procedures. Active DOD SECRET security clearance or higher.
