Salesforce Developer Preferred/required Skills Salesforce Platform Developer certification Employed Salesforce Platform application development experience Familiarity with agile methodologies Understanding of Salesforce Platform application development best practices Test software using appropriate methodology and techniques Experience providing end user training and support Ability to work with people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism. 2 years employed experience developing in Salesforce, preferably including migrations into and out of Salesforce. Understanding of Salesforce security model including profiles, roles, sharing rules, and permission sets Proficiency in Salesforce Object Query Language and Salesforce Object Search Language Experience with integrating Salesforce with external systems using APIs (REST and SOAP) Experience with functional testing Ability to select testing methods to evaluate the success of developed solutions. Experience with API integrations (REST, SOAP) Ability to monitor system performance to ensure proper operation and identify possible problem areas. Ability to anticipate the impact that new or modified software will have on existing standards and systems. Ability to understand information and ideas presented in both verbal and written form. Ability to Communicate effectively in both verbal and written form as appropriate for the needs of the audience. Ability to discuss requirements with end users and provide suggestions and recommendations to users to help them understand potential limitations and challenges. The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted. Ability to provide assistance and/or on-the-job training. Primary Duties Support, maintain and develop in Salesforce platform Analyze business requirements Work through the development lifecycle as technical requirements are implemented Develop, implement, test, maintain, and document solutions. Other Necessary Requirements Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
