General Statement of Duties This vacancy is open until filled. Minimum annual salary is $45,599.28 ($21.92/hour). The salary for this position will be prorated based upon the official start date. Patches and repairs broken sheetrock work; replaces lath and studs as required; applies sheetrock to new construction; handles sheetrock and applies tape on joint work as required. Essential Duties Removes damaged drywall, applies new drywall to walls and/or ceilings. Repairs cracks in old drywall work; matching type of materials Repairs holes in sheetrock and applies appropriate finish Constructs wood and metal stud walls Hangs sheetrock, applies tape on joints and finishes newly constructed partitions Applies paint to repaired or newly constructed surfaces as needed Performs overtime work on a scheduled, unscheduled, routine or emergency basis, as assigned Attends work daily and be engaged and on task Performs related duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Graduation from high school, trade school or equivalent Considerable knowledge of practices, tools and terminology of the plastering trade is required. Must be able to lay out work and interpret plans and blueprints and demonstrate sophisticated skills in the performance of plastering tasks; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
