House/Foster Parent - Foster Care Program Be among the first 25 applicants 6 days ago KID Foster Care in Broward and Palm Beach Counties provides short- and long-term care to children who have entered the dependency system. As the largest foster care provider in these counties, the program serves children with love and support while case workers assist the birth family towards reunification or permanency. We are seeking an energetic individual or couple to live in one of our agency foster family homes and care for children or siblings placed in the dependency system (Foster Care). Responsibilities include providing 24-hour supervision, ensuring a structured environment, and safeguarding the safety and well-being of each child. One parent must be non-working to dedicate appropriate care. Foster parents must meet the physical, emotional, educational, and social needs of the children until reunification or a permanent placement is achieved. Capable of parenting up to seven children from the child welfare system simultaneously. Skills and Requirements High school diploma or GED and at least two years of experience working with children and families in child welfare. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to obtain foster care licensing from the Florida Department of Children and Families. Training Requirements Attend a minimum of 12 hours of training annually, with additional recommended training to enhance skills. Maintain current CPR/First Aid certification, a valid Florida Driver's License, and active foster care license.
