Our office in the Greater Chicago area is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst to join our Corporate Development team within the wealth management industry. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in investment banking or corporate development who thrives in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment. You will play a key role in evaluating strategic opportunities, conducting financial analysis, and supporting the execution of M&A transactions that align with our wealth management growth strategy. You will join a team of dynamic, collaborative, and client-focused professionals who are focused on delivering on our founding core values: Integrity, Entrepreneurial, Inclusion and Connection.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000 plus annual bonus

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Conduct financial modeling and valuation analyses (DCF, precedent transactions, comparable companies, etc.) to assess potential acquisition targets in the wealth management sector.
  • Prepare materials and investment memos for internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver high-quality presentations and pitch decks to executive leadership.
  • Support due diligence efforts by coordinating with cross-functional teams and external advisors.
  • Track industry trends, competitive landscapes, and potential acquisition targets in the wealth management space.
  • Assist in post-merger integration planning and execution.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in investment banking, corporate development, or a related field.
  • Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in Excel required
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills with the ability to create compelling presentations.
  • Solid understanding of accounting, corporate finance, and valuation principles.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • Experience working on live M&A transactions.
  • Familiarity with data rooms and due diligence processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive and resourceful approach.
