TITLE: Senior Credit Analyst

JOB FAMILY: Credit

DEPARTMENT: Credit

PAY GRADE & FLSA: 7, Exempt

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Credit Analyst is responsible for credit underwriting at an advanced level for new and existing commercial loans while adhering to bank guidelines and assisting in the management of the commercial loan portfolio. This role will maintain and update all processes and procedures and will collaborate with leaders to communicate changes and updates in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Independently prepares commercial credit presentations, including analysis of primary and secondary sources of repayment, collateral, industry and macroeconomic trends, and existing lending relationship.
• Identify issues regarding compliance with credit policy, bank procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Communicates directly with loan officers and borrowers to request additional information and to Monitor compliance with loan agreements by working with the Loan Officer and Clients to ensure timely receipt.
• Reviews financials, covenant compliance, and other loan agreement conditions.
• Attend Loan Committee meetings, handle client service issues, and coordinate/handling of loan closings.
• In coordination with the Credit Manager, provides training opportunities for credit analysis staff.
• Acts as the technical expert on complex loan and lending relationships.
• Participates in special projects as directed and resolve various issues.
• Comply with all company or regulatory policies, procedures and requirements that are applicable to this position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or an equivalent of education and experience.
• Minimum five years of experience in a financial institution.
• Capability to utilize various banking software and Microsoft 365 products, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and conflict resolution capabilities.
• Ability to interpret, analyze, and communicate financial information effectively to a wide range of clients and audiences.
• Strong time management skills with capability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Thorough understanding of banking services, customers, procedures, and policies.
