PSI sits within the Capital Solutions Group in Global Banking & Markets Investment Banking. PSI provides debt underwriting and advisory services for state and local governmental entities, public power and utility systems, transportation and mass transit agencies, higher education organizations, not-for-profit hospital and healthcare organizations, sports franchises and other public projects. The group focuses on origination, structuring and execution of a variety of debt, derivative, advisory, and public-private partnership transactions across the U.S. The multi-functional group combines client coverage with product expertise, capital markets expertise, credit analysis and deal execution. Our offices are headquartered in New York City, with regional offices in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and Dallas.
Analysts and associates in PSI gain exposure to the firm's businesses and expanded knowledge of the investment banking industry, as they develop key analytical, communications, marketing and sales skills. On the financing side, analysts and associates provide a full range of services including running bond structuring analysis, assisting in developing and preparing credit information for formal bond rating agency presentations, assessing credit enhancement structures, reviewing legal and other offering documents and examining product alternatives as pricing approaches. On the advisory side, analysts and associates create and analyze financial models, performing scenario analyses and tests to examine the effects of client alternatives. Analysts and associates organize and prepare presentations which explain industry trends, discuss client options, and recommend strategies to meet client goals. From maintaining client communication to helping Goldman Sachs structure client transactions, our analysts and associates are a vital part of Goldman Sachs' banking teams.
