Job Description

Responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint to interior and/or exterior walls, ceilings and other building structures, including surface cleaning, patching imperfections, mixing colors, and ensuring a professional finish while adhering to safety regulations, often working on various projects across different buildings.

• Surface preparation: Cleaning, sanding, patching cracks and holes, removing old paint, and applying primer to surfaces before painting.
  
  
  
• Color matching and mixing: Mixing paints to achieve the desired color according to project specifications.
  
  
  
• Application techniques: Applying paint using brushes, rollers, and spray guns, ensuring even coverage and smooth finish.
  
  
  
• Protecting surfaces: Covering floors, furniture, and fixtures with drop sheets to prevent paint damage.
  
  
  
• Scaffolding and access equipment: Setting up and using ladders, scaffolding, and lifts to reach high areas.
  
  
  
• Site preparation: Measuring areas, calculating paint requirements, and preparing the worksite.
  
  
  
• Clean-up: Removing paint spills, debris, and cleaning tools after completion.

• Attention to detail: Ability to achieve precise and consistent paint application
  
  
  
• Physical stamina: Comfortable working at heights and for extended periods
  
  
  
• Color perception: Accurate color matching and understanding of color theory
