Job Description

Brown and Caldwell (BC) is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team.

This role involves electrical equipment upgrades, arc flash hazard analysis, power distribution system design, motor control centers, drives, wiring diagrams, and related services for plant power. It offers a great opportunity for a mid-level engineer to advance their career, work on challenging projects, and contribute to environmental sustainability.

Work location is hybrid, based in Sacramento, San Jose, or Walnut Creek.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing electrical projects and interacting with clients.
• Design development, equipment layout, and selection.
• Creating contract drawings using 2D and 3D design tools.
• Preparing bid packages, conducting field investigations, and supporting construction activities.
• Collaborating with a national team of experts.

Qualifications:

• BSc in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Professional registration or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, preferably in water and wastewater industries.
• Experience in power systems design, specifications, and analysis software like SKM or ETAP is a plus.
• Knowledge of NEC and NFPA 70E standards.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
