Position: VMware Sales Engineer

Job Description:

Join Arrow as a VMware Sales Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in providing technical direction and business support to our channel partner network across North America. In this dynamic position, you'll be responsible for achieving partner enablement goals and driving innovative technical programs while overseeing daily technical account activities. You'll leverage your expertise in VMware solutions and adjacent technologies to architect and position effective solutions for our partners.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create and execute targeted strategies for industry engagement and account penetration, developing tailored product and sales enablement plans to drive leads from identification to successful sales closure.
  • Offer technical leadership and guidance to channel partners and sales teams with pre-sales activities, representing Arrow and VMware.
  • Lead the discovery, analysis, design, demonstration, and refinement of comprehensive technology solutions.
  • Exhibit deep technical expertise in VMware solutions, including vSphere, cloud foundations, advanced security, containers, orchestration, private AI, and workload automation, while understanding competitive offerings in the modern data center.
  • Act as a subject matter expert to create and propose tailored solutions that align with the technology and business needs of channel partners and their end users.
  • Deliver technical and sales presentations to channel partners' technical and sales teams.
  • Collaborate with Arrow marketing teams to develop and publish engaging digital technical content across Arrow’s social media channels.
  • Establish yourself as a trusted technology influencer to channel partners, serving as an internal Arrow resource for technical strategies and business applications within your focus area.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Arrow account teams, partners, and end users to support sales objectives; effectively utilize Arrow’s resources and personnel as needed.
  • Lead VMware technical sales calls on behalf of channel partners.
  • Assess VMware sales opportunities by understanding customer technical requirements, competition, decision-making processes, and funding in partnership with Arrow channel partners.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience with VMware solutions (VCF, SRM, Tanzu, etc.).
  • Familiarity with configuration or sizing tools preferred by Broadcom.
  • Strong prioritization and deadline management capabilities.
  • Results-oriented mindset.
  • Entrepreneurial approach to work.
  • High level of business and sales acumen.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-centric attitude.
  • Industry certifications or experience in modern infrastructure/cloud/AI solutions.

Experience / Education

Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a 4-year degree; or 6 years and an advanced degree; or equivalent experience.

Work Arrangement

This role is fully remote; however, travel to an Arrow office location may be requested by Arrow leadership.

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate: $105,300.00 - $170,000.00 OTE

Location: US-GA-Georgia (Remote Employees) - Remote work employees may be required to be present at the closest designated Arrow office for work-related purposes, at the company’s request and sole discretion.
