Job Description

As a Director of Front Office, you would be responsible for directing and administering all Front Desk operations in the hotel's ongoing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. You will assist with rooms financial reporting as needed and provide guidance to the property Guest Loyalty Manager. Management-level associates are expected to work as much of each workday as necessary to complete their responsibilities.

Exempt managers must regularly direct the work of at least 3 full-time associates or their equivalents. Their primary duties should consist of administrative, executive, or professional tasks more than 50% of the time, involving discretion and independent judgment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Hospitality Management with at least 5 years of progressive Front Office management experience in a 500+ room hotel with meeting space preferred, or an applicable Associate’s degree with at least 3 years of Front Office management experience required.
• Specific brand experience, OnQ (PMS) Certification, 500+ room experience, and/or previous director-level experience preferred.

Job Responsibilities

• Directs and administers all Guest Services operations, including guest service and registration, room inventory, guest service standards, product quality, cost controls, profitability, brand marketing initiatives, systems management, budgeting, policy implementation, and meetings.
• Monitors and develops associate performance through supervision, development, scheduling, counseling, evaluations, and recognition.
• Assesses service and satisfaction trends, addresses issues, and implements improvements.
• Implements marketing and up-selling techniques to maximize occupancy and revenue.
• Ensures associates are knowledgeable about hotel offerings, policies, and local area events.
• Runs daily reports, analyzes data, and makes informed decisions.
• Resolves guest issues to ensure satisfaction.
• Recruits, interviews, and trains staff.
• Participates in the Property Manager on Duty program.
• Certified to respond to emergencies, including operating fire panels and communicating with emergency personnel.
• Completes assigned tasks or projects as required.
