Position Summary

We are looking for someone who is passionate about history, museums, and missions. Candidates should have excellent oral communication skills and enjoy working with people. They need to be able to orient visitors, give museum tours, and communicate the mission of JAARS.

Position Responsibilities

Work at the reception desk to answer the phone, keep visitor records, schedule tours, greet and orient visitors, turn on various technology used in exhibits, and answer questions
Give 1 Hour Tours of the museum
Help plan and work at JAARS DAY and other museum events
Sell items in the museum gift shop
May represent JAARS and the Museum at outreaches in the community, at schools, and at churches
Attend museum meetings and trainings
Attend JAARS events and meetings when possible
Perform any other tasks that are needed

Position Requirements

A deep and growing walk with the Lord Jesus that includes your personal spiritual growth and the ability to support others in their spiritual growth
Embrace the vision, mission, and core values of JAARS
Excellent oral communication skills
Excellent computer skills and able to use Google Suite
Able to work at least half a day one Saturday per month
